The Flashing Pheasant is the non-bead head variety, it always pays to have a good selection of both bead head and non-bead head flies. Sometimes the fish can be picky and very selective with what they are chewing on.
I often use these and apply some spilt shot to the leader to adjust the depth according to the flow of the river.
