Dirty flys

Hey guys! As an avid fly fisherman, I got sick to death of taking out a second mortgage every time I call into a fishing shop to purchase some flies, only then to find that they didn’t have what I wanted, and the flies they had did a better job of catching the eye of the fisherman than the fish itself. So, I took it on myself to work with some awesome people to come up with this range of flies “Dirty Flys”. They are affordable, durable and suitable for our New Zealand conditions! The best this about them, is that they work!

This range is small but believe me if you really think about what you use when going fishing, you typically default to the tried-and-true flies that have had success in the past. This only gets changed up is when the fishing is slow or there is a very particular hatch happening. Sure, there will always be some select imitations that you will need time to time, but Dirty Flys are the essentials that perform for us time after time.

Often your wallet is caught in the fishing shop, instead of the fish been caught in the river. My mission is to give you the best opportunity when you are on the water to catch a fish. With the hectic pace of life, a lot of us a very time poor, we cannot afford to waste an opportunity using products that are highly marketed but don’t perform. My wife family and my own family both had a love of fly fishing as we grew up, from a young age we were dragged along the riverbanks cashing fish. Believe me there were times when this was not so enjoyable, but it engrained the passion in us both which we are now sharing with our children. At a young age of 7, our oldest is already catching fish unassisted. Real rewards right there! 

The truth behold is that no one enjoys fishing if you are not catching fish. Thats why we have done a heap of hard work to bring you Dirty Flys! I’m sure they will help improve your fish count to your net. Regardless if you are new to the sport or a seasoned pro needing to supplement your fly inventory, we want to share the passion and love of the outdoors and getting the take!
