Well team, I thought I should kick off a blog and provide a bit of feedback around the journey of Dirty Flys to date. This isn’t really my thing but hey I will give it a crack and see how we go.
First, I have to say a big thanks for your support and dealings over the past month. Its sure has been a roller coaster with understanding stock, reordering materials, website building, order management, order fulfilment and packaging. I’m starting to get process down pack, and I appreciate any feedback on this from the receiving end. We are trying to keep the process as sustainable as posable with the recent addition of compostable bags. I’m waiting for some new boxes to arrive, so I can move from the plastic containers for containing the flies. I guess everything helps and reduction of single use plastic has to be a good thing. It’s our up most priority that your order arrives safe and secure without damage, we want you flies to be in premium condition for when the hit the water.
This web site far from my day job, and I'm learning on the run. There is sure to be a mistake or two along the way. I know there was one stage where I found the bead head nymphs link had dropped form the site for over a week, so they were not available. Please if you notice anything like this, just let me know and I will jump onto it. With all my listings we have utilised them over the past few years and we will continue to bring new products to the table. From what I have learnt is that there are a million type and styles of flies out there. But in reality it’s a very small selection that is your go too. We are really trying to accommodate for that tight range that really dose the damage on 90% of the fish. The other 10% of the fish are the ones that you will never catch no matter what you cast at them 😉
What I really appreciate is the support and promoting that a few of you guys and girls are doing out in the social media world, it’s you guys that really get the momentum going. The best thing is it demonstrates it’s not just me saying that these are really good flies. It’s totally independent peeps slaying it out on the rivers and giving them a thumbs up. Check us out on Facebook and Instagram, hit follow and join the party. #DirtyFlys
Thanks Nick
